Insight Partners led the round, with participation from existing investors Theory Ventures, Construct Capital, Gradient Ventures and 10VC. BackOps will use the funding to expand its resolution layer to support additional processes and grow its product, engineering and go-to-market teams to meet growing customer demand.
Turning AI Capability into Reliable Execution
Supply chain work varies by product, order, customer and external party. Reaching the required outcome often requires coordination across enterprise systems, internal teams and networks of carriers, suppliers, distributors, customers and service providers. Today, people bridge this – gathering context, translating between processes, coordinating decisions and following up until the work is complete. When work depends on manual efforts and knowledge concentrated in a few people, work slows, operating costs rise, customer commitments are put at risk and recoverable value is left on the table.
Companies are looking to AI to help automate this work. However, general-purpose AI doesn’t arrive knowing supply chain processes or the resolution patterns required to carry them out reliably. Teams also have to capture each process, connect it across systems and third-party portals, define rules and approvals, test everything, and maintain it as interfaces change – slowing time to value and creating an ongoing burden. Customer Momentum and Impact
Over the past year, large enterprises across the grocery, retail, logistics, and distribution sectors have adopted BackOps to run end-to-end processes spanning carrier claims, chargeback disputes, complex billing, and even forecasting.
Carrier claims demonstrate the impact of BackOps operating at production scale and the power of its proprietary data. In one customer deployment, a national parcel platform handed BackOps its claims operation. Since going live in December 2025 the system has processed 500,000+ claims and resolved 91% of them with no human involvement, as monthly volume grew 150-fold without additional hiring. Outcomes improved as volume rose, with the automated resolution rate climbing from 87 percent at launch to 99 percent today.
BackOps has also demonstrated customer impact in workflows beyond claims. In a separate deployment at a retailer operating 13 sites, the billing process required an estimated 11,000 staff hours annually. BackOps reduced the average billing cycle from approximately 28 hours to 14 minutes, creating additional capacity to help the business grow volume without adding a planned five billing specialists and a supervisor – approximately $660,000 in projected fully loaded annual cost.

BackOps plans to expand its supported resolution processes across operations, finance and customer service.
