Apple plans to invest $500 billion towards various projects, including a new server factory in Texas.
The company outlined several concrete moves, the most significant being the construction of a new factory in Houston to launch in 2026. The company claims this factory will create several job openings in the country.
Apple also intends to build upon its data center capacity in various locations: North Carolina, Iowa, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada.
These plans were declared just days after U.S. President, Donald Trump, raised some scrutiny surrounding Apple’s tax payments.
Apple’s initiatives also encompass efforts like the company’s New Silicon Initiative- preparing students to make a mark in the hardware engineering and silicon chip design arenas.
Apple is on a quest to expand, and this growth mindset includes a new collaboration with UCLA’s Center for Education of Microchip Designers (CEMiD) beginning this year.
